People help us every day of our lives and through community service we get our own opportunity to give back.’ Olivia Watson, Community Service Captain The Community Service Day in March this year was a wonderful demonstration of one of our core values – citizenship, where we seek to effect positive change through civic and environmental action. With the intention of supporting Koala Kids and CanTeen over 35 Year 12 girls had their hair cut. These charities are causes very close to the hearts of all the Year 12 girls. The Koala Kids foundation provides educational and entertaining activities and programmes to distract children and their families from the pain and trauma associated with the paediatric cancer journey. CanTeen is the Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer. Community Service captain, Olivia Watson, set up a Go Fund Me page on Facebook, with the intention of raising $5500.
